When you battle an illness for so long
   people understand that energy
      becomes a precious commodity.
But seldom do they think about what
   the day to day struggles do
      for one's self-esteem.
Value and purpose of life seems to
   decrease as exhaustion increases.
On days you feel like this
   remember, that to others...

   and courage.

Being a caregiver is one of the most unselfish
   acts a human being can do.

   fulfill the needs for another.

Definitions change when a person lives
  with chronic illness.
Getting out of bed every morning
  isn't waking up, it's strength.
Accomplishing the necessary chores of the day
  isn't housework, it's perseverance.
Needing rest isn't taking it easy
  it's recouping.
Doing this day after day
  isn't a routine it's overcoming.
And because you prevail people see
  that God's power is real.

Your last chemo treatment is finally done
   and we have the woman we love still with us, safe and sound.
Ready to go out into the world, not as you've done before...
but as a new creation;
   a conqueror who's been touched by God.

Every once in a while you realize there's someone in your life
    who's been teaching you so much about living.
