HOSPICE VOLUNTEER THANK YOU CARDS   Bookmark and Share

One of the first things I did when I was healed was to become trained as a Heartland Hospice volunteer. I loved it. It's an incredible blessing to be a part of this most intimate and spiritual event in the life of someone.  It's humbling to be a presence and a  source of information to family and friends at a time when others have a tendency to shy away.

It was because of this experience, and prompting from Janet, a dear friend and Heartland Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, this line was designed. If I had not been involved in hospice, I never would have known how people give of themselves so that those who are dying are still a part of life. Volunteers visit patients, make crafts, work in the office, sew cloth pieces onto a memorial quilt, and make bereavement calls to family members for up to a year after someone has died. Everytime a volunteer does one of these things, they touch the life of someone and imprint their heart forever.

Each card provides a unique way for Hospice Coordinators to say thank you to their volunteers for giving of their time, energy, and love. There are 6 verses; one for each area of volunteerism and one sympathy card that is appropriate for all volunteers. Cards can be stamped with either a butterfly or heart design, and all come with a Scripture card insert. Price is notated for buying individual cards. If buying more than one, please contact me via email for price listing and to determine payment method.

***Some of the verses can also be used for volunteers in other agencies. Any Volunteer Coordinator who would like a card series written for their specific need, please feel free to contact me.
